Exo Terra Light Bracket

The Exo Terra Light Bracket is designed to safely suspend light fixtures above an Exo Terra terrarium or any other glass terrarium. The Exo Terra Light Bracket can be easily adjusted in height to suit most types of luminaires or to adjust the heat/light depending on the required conditions in the terrarium. Once the bracket and fixture are installed, bulbs (such as the Basking Spot, Solar Glo, etc.) will no longer be subjected to movement, greatly extending their life.

Installation and use:

1. Preparation of the glass surface: the temperature of the surface to be applied should be no lower than 16°C and no higher than 29°C. If the climate does not allow this, the stand should be moved to suitable conditions. The area to which the tape is to be applied should first be thoroughly cleaned with a solution of warm water and liquid detergent. Rinse with clean water and dry completely. For best results, a final wipe with a 50/50 solution of water and alcohol is recommended (use a clean, lint-free cloth). Make sure the surface is dry and free of residue before proceeding. Note: Once the self-adhesive base is attached, it cannot be repositioned.
2. Loosen the screw on the back of the self-adhesive base and remove the lamp support from the self-adhesive base.
3. Without peeling off the protective layer, place the self-adhesive base on the back or side of the terrarium to determine its final position and mark its position with a wax pencil or other marker.
4. Remove the protective layer and carefully stick the self-adhesive base in the marked position.
5. Press the adhesive tape firmly and evenly onto the glass, twisting it gently to ensure maximum adhesion of the tape to the glass surface. Ensure that no air bubbles are visible.
6. Allow the adhesive tape to bond well to the surface for 24 hours before inserting the bracket into the adhesive base and hanging any lighting from it.
7. After 24 hours, insert the bracket into the adhesive base, adjust to the desired height and tighten the screw.
8. Remove the first rubber washer, slide the mounting ring of the fixture over the rod, then reattach the rubber to securely fix the fixture between both rubber stops.
9. Adjust the position of the fixture by moving the rubber stops.
10. Adjust the height and tighten the screw of the support base once the fixture is suspended above the terrarium at the desired height.
11. Ensure that the light source is not above any plastic parts of the terrarium or lid to prevent heat damage.
