Description

Dusk Hygrolon is a durable material, fully safe for animals and plants, which does not decompose under the influence of moisture or light. It is ideal as a background material in the terrarium, as well as a base for epiphytic plants. Due to its very high hygroscopic abilities, it is perfect as a base for orchids, philodendrons and many other plants. The three-layer structure of hygrolon ensures excellent water distribution and air permeability. Thanks to that the plants growing on its surface are perfectly watered while minimizing the risk of root rot.

Hygrolon is a material that will work perfectly when planted with moss. Thanks to its porous structure and ability to collect and distribute water, it is an ideal substrate for all kinds of moss or ferns. We especially recommend the use of ready-made Dusk MossMix available in our store.

Installation of the Hygrolon is very simple and quick – just stick it to the surface with non-toxic glue or silicone. In case of installation on small elements such as roots or rocks, you can also use a transparent line.

About brand

Dusk is a brand present in the segment of materials used for building modern planted terrariums, vivariums, and paludariums. In practice, it is associated primarily with products such as Hygrolon, EpiWeb, and solutions intended for creating walls, backgrounds, surfaces for epiphytic plants, and zones responsible for moisture distribution. This is a very specific product profile, aimed not at customers looking for ready-made decorations, but at people building setups that are more advanced both structurally and biologically. The brand is especially interesting for users creating humid tropical terrariums, bioactive vivariums, and paludariums with an extensive planted section.

Dusk products from the Hygrolon and EpiWeb categories are used as construction and growing materials. Hygrolon is a material with a very high capacity for absorbing and distributing water, resistant to moisture and UV radiation, used as a terrarium background and as a base for epiphytic plants. EpiWeb, in turn, serves as a lightweight, porous medium that works well as an alternative to traditional panels used in building walls and plant pockets. These materials support good root-zone ventilation, moisture retention, and the development of microorganisms important for the function of a bioactive setup. These are exactly the features expected by more advanced terrarium keepers building stable tropical environments.

Dusk is a brand for customers who want to design a terrarium from the construction side, not only the decorative one. Products of this type are particularly useful when creating living walls, zones for mosses, orchids, bromeliads, and other plants that require constant access to moisture while maintaining good air circulation. Dusk therefore fits well into the needs of modern planted and bioactive terrarium keeping, where the choice of construction material has a direct impact on the durability of the project and plant growth conditions. It is a manufacturer for people who expect specialist components for building functional, aesthetic, and long-term stable tropical setups.
