Skylight Hyperspot R

The new Skylight Hyperspot R series of lamps for marine aquariums is characterised by its timeless design, high-quality build and exceptional lighting efficiency. A high PAR factor (a parameter that determines the amount of light that penetrates the water column), optimum light colour, maintenance-free, durable construction and the ability to manage the lighting from a smartphone app are just a few of the many advantages of the Hyperspot R.

The lamp body is made entirely of metal, which conducts heat perfectly, thus effectively dissipating the excess heat generated by the floodlights. The metal construction made it possible to avoid installing cooling fans, so the lamp operates silently, which significantly improves the comfort of being around the tank. The Skylight Hyperspot R marine aquarium lamp is seawater resistant, so it does not corrode and retains its aesthetic appearance much longer than most similar products. For ease of use, the new model has been stripped of the mirror on the lower surface, where saltwater droplets or fingerprints could settle, negatively affecting the visual perception of the overall design.

Innovative design of the light points – thanks to the use of a colour-mixing lens in the reflectors, the Skylight Hyperspot R directs the already mixed light directly downwards into the aquarium. Such a solution significantly eliminates the effect of dazzling the person observing the aquarium, who is in the room, avoiding the need to use unattractive shades around the lamp. The spotlight also makes for striking light reflections on the bottom of the tank. Thanks to the large distances between the individual light points in the lamp, it is easy to achieve even illumination even in tanks with dense, complicated arrangements.

To control the Hyperspot R lamp, a built-in WiFi controller is used combined with the intuitive SL Control app. The controller allows power, colour and white balance to be adjusted over a very wide range. It also offers the possibility of programming the lamp’s operating schedule, including imitation of sunrises and sunsets. Changing the colour marginally reduces PAR and lamp power – 30 cm from the light source, PAR is approximately 300 umol. The SL Control app is available for both Android and IOS smartphones.

The lamp comes with steel cables for hanging the lamp above the aquarium and adjusting the height of its suspension above the tank. In the “accessories” tab you will find feet for mounting the lamp on the edges of the aquarium.
