The Exo Terra Forest Canopy planted terrarium lamp is the ideal light source for bioactive tanks. The high amount of visible light emitted by the lamp contributes to the physiological well-being of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates and allows them to perceive the colours in their environment in a more natural way. Thanks to the use of efficient LED technology, the bulb is highly energy-efficient.
The specific wavelength generated by the Forest Canopy bulb, combined with the high light output, supports the lush growth of plants significantly. The 6500 K light corresponds to the light conditions in the treetops of a tropical forest, and the orchids, bromeliads, tillandsias, carnivorous plants, mosses and lichens growing in the upper layers of the forest benefit greatly and thrive under the strong photosynthetic radiation. Wavelengths consisting of blue, green, red and even traces of far red regulate healthy growth rates and colouration of leaves, stems, roots and even promote flowering.
The design of the lamp allows it to be rotated within a range of 300°. This allows you to direct the light beam to a specific area in the terrarium that you wish to illuminate directly.
Combine the high level of visible light generated by the Forest Canopy with the Exo Terra Reptile UVB100, UVB150 or UVB200 to ensure optimal sunlight conditions that are as close to natural as possible.
