Thanks to this, the lamp works not only in classic planted tanks, but also in aquariums with more demanding species, including red plants. The lighting supports healthy plant growth while also enhancing the natural colours of leaves, stems and aquarium fish. Precise light direction and reduced glare outside the aquarium

Skylight FOQAL stands out through solutions that improve everyday aquarium viewing comfort. The lamp has been designed to reduce light spill outside the tank and minimise glare for people observing the aquarium. This is especially important for open-top aquariums placed in a living room, office or any other exposed space. Depending on the selected variant, the lamp uses different optical and mounting solutions, making it easier to match it to a specific aquarium type and the desired lighting effect.

Two variants for different needs: FOQAL S and FOQAL H

The Skylight FOQAL series is available in two variants: S and H. The two versions differ mainly in their mounting method and the character of light distribution. FOQAL S is a suspended version equipped with a 60° lens and additional anti-glare shields. This setup allows for more precise light direction into the aquarium and better control over light spread, which works particularly well when the lamp is suspended higher above the water surface. FOQAL H, on the other hand, is a stand-mounted version equipped with a 120° lens, which produces a wider beam of light. Since the lamp mounted on a stand sits closer to the water surface, a slightly wider beam directed into the aquarium is more efficient. By offering two versions, the customer can choose the variant best suited to the character of their own aquarium.

Wi-Fi, app control and full control over lighting parameters

A built-in Wi-Fi controller is standard in Skylight lamps, and the same applies to the FOQAL model. The lamp can be controlled via the SL Control app on Android and iOS, allowing its operation to be conveniently adjusted to the needs of the tank. The user can regulate colour temperature within the 3,500–50,000 K range, brightness and daily schedule. A major advantage is the ability to change colour temperature without any loss of lamp power, providing great freedom to shape the desired visual effect while maintaining high lighting performance. This makes Skylight FOQAL equally suitable for strictly planted aquariums, biotope tanks and carefully designed aquascaping layouts.

Smart operation and everyday convenience

The lamp has been designed to be not only efficient, but also practical in everyday use. Once the schedule is set, the device operates automatically according to the saved parameters, making it easier to maintain a stable photoperiod in the aquarium. In the event of a power outage, the controller remembers the settings and restores them once power returns. In addition, when the time changes, the device connects to Wi-Fi and automatically corrects the current time. These features improve convenience and reduce the need for manual lighting control.
