Natural beauty

Selaginella willdenowii originates from the humid, shaded tropical forests of Southeast Asia, where it grows as a dense and decorative ground cover. In terrariums, it works perfectly as a cover plant but grows significantly taller than its popular, creeping relative – S. uncinata. It thrives in consistently moist substrate and diffused light. Its presence helps maintain a stable microclimate in the tank.

Easy care and resilience

Selaginella requires stable temperatures and high humidity. It does not tolerate drying out or direct sunlight, which may damage its delicate foliage. It grows slowly, forming lush, layered structures that can be shaped with regular trimming.
IMPORTANT: avoid substrate drying and low humidity — this plant is sensitive to dry conditions.
