HabiStat Coir Substrate – Coconut Substrate

HabiStat Coir Substrate is a 100% natural coconut substrate, ideal for digging and suitable for all species of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates from humid environments.

Coir substrate is made from coconut husks sourced from renewable resources. It’s soft, aiding in digging, and slowly releases water, helping to maintain high humidity. The lignin content allows it to be used in wet conditions without the risk of rotting.

Directions for Use:

Spread the substrate evenly across the terrarium base to a depth of around 5 cm. If using under-tank heating (cable or heating mat), avoid using too thick a layer of substrate. Spot clean as needed and replace regularly. Mix the substrate weekly to prevent bacterial build-up, removing any soiled areas. Replace the entire substrate once a month.
