All our wood pieces are sterilised and cleaned, so you can put them in the tank without any preparation or cleaning. They are 100% safe and no harmful chemicals were used to prepare them. All types of wood offered in our shop tolerate contact with water perfectly, so you can use them in very humid vivariums or even underwater.
Remember, after installation in a humid tank a small amount of mould may appear on the wood. This is a completely natural stage during the so-called “maturation of the tank”. Make sure that your terrarium has sufficient ventilation. Poor air circulation can lead to excessive mould growth in the tank.
